Sales Market Update Update by Sean O'Connor | October 2018

Hi I'm Sean O'Connor with the monthly market update. They say change is the only constant in life but how do you really know when it's time to sell. Usually lifestyle changes or the family cycle dictate how Australian homeowners sell their property, however when it's time to sell it may not necessarily coincide with good market conditions. My advise is to sell when it suits and if you sell and buy in the same market then you should end up on level terms. Well the Sydney and Melbourne markets have had 12 consecutive months of price reductions. Over that 12 month period, Sydney has fallen by 6 percent which is not exactly a crash however if you're a buyer looking to get into the market there's certainly a lot of good buying and good value out there in the market place at present. My advice is to get out there and do the rounds of the auctions and make some offers I think you'll end up very well in front over the next five to ten years. We recently listed a property at 8 Ilkoara Crescent, Cordeaux Heights this property was listed in a price range of $880,000 - $920,000. It's an immaculate four bedroom split-level brick veneer home. The home has three living areas, 2 bathrooms, a double garage and it's in a quiet cul de-sac in Cordeaux Heights which is a lovely family suburb.
